COURSE OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the course delegates should be able to: 

·                     Understand the changes to Health and Safety legislation - particularly in the construction industry
·                    
Be aware of accident trends and prevention techniques
·                    
Understand the principle of working at height
·                    
Understand the changes to COSHH
·                    
Appreciate the need to be aware of stress related problems
·                    
Devise and or use effective communication with the workforce
·                    
Manage a site safely in compliance with existing legislation

Who should attend:

Those who have previously completed their SMSTS course 5 years ago (or more) and wish to renew their certificate. You can undertake the refresher course within 6 months either side of your SMSTS pass date.

Duration:

The course is run for two consecutive days in a week.

Delegates:

The course is limited to a maximum of 16 delegates.

CITB Charges and Grants:

Those Organisations who are in scope for grants as CITB levy payers are entitled to claim £35 per day per delegate.
